In a recent interview Shahrukh Khan claims this dialogue from Guddu to be the one that took him 40 takes to get right and at the end of each take he would erupt into laughter
"Doctor uncle, yeh eye transplant kya hota hai?"
Given below is an excerpt from the interview in which he tells us five scenes he liked doing.
Devdas: When I go home for my dad’s funeral, I tell my mother “Achche aadmi the woh....” It is one of my favourite scenes.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: When I come running to the summer school and see Kajol for the first time after so many years and I say, ‘Sari!’ As an actor I really enjoyed doing that scene.
Baazigar: When I say sorry to Shilpa before throwing her off the terrace. In my head the word ‘sorry’ meant ‘I love you a lot’.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge:At the station when Kajol invites me for her wedding and I say, ‘Nahin, mein nahin aaunga.’
Swades: When the kid sells me water in a kulhar at the station and then runs to give me my change. I was moved even while doing it.
Kal Ho Na Ho: When I tell Preeti how she should learn to smile and show her how with a ‘Hee hee’.The timing was just right.

And Laloo falls.... finally!
The 15-year stranglehold of Laloo and Rabri over Bihar comes to an end and with that not only Bihar but the whole country can heave a sigh of relief. Hail the people of Bihar who deposed Laloo and his goons. This is democracy at its best!!!
This reminds me of the opening sequel to Shakespeare's play - "The Taming of the Shrew". Before the play starts, we are introduced to a poor character - Christopher Sly - who is picked from the roadside in an unconscious state by a very rich landlord. The landlord wants to play a prank on Sly. He takes him to his house and tells everyone around him to make Sly feel like the lord of the house when Sly regains his consciousness. The landlord himself decides to act as a servant to Sly.
So when Sly awakes from his deep slumber, he finds himself in a room resplendent with paintings, the fragrance of perfume in the air, surrounded by attendants and the landlord in the guise of a servant. He is then told that he is not a derelict, but their master. After protesting weakly, he is ready to accept their version of him and seems to completely forget his prior identity. He soon gets around to snapping his fingers and commanding the landlord, who is in the guise of a servant, to serve and entertain him.
The landlord and his retinue are dumbstruck at how fast he assumes his new role as their superior. The prank just went just too far for their comfort. Sly does not seem to care, he enjoys his new found sense of identity, and has a merry time by commanding a troupe of performers to put on a play for his amusement, thus kicking off the comedy "The Taming of the Shrew" for the audience to watch. Shakespeare fails to tell us what happened to Sly when the play ends, but we can very well imagine him being show the door out and dumped in the streets.
Drawing parallels to Laloo, it does not take a genius to see that Laloo was affected by the "Sly Syndrome" after the masses in Bihar elected him to the post of a Chief Minister in 1990. In our times, not all Slys get punished, but Laloo for a change has got what he deserved for his narcissism.
As Prakash Jha puts it lets all hope that the new government takes strong steps to revive Bihar and make Indians all over feel proud of the state of Bihar!!

Dude, you forgot who I go home to every night!
Its not easy being the son of a bollywood legend, specially when your father is still rocking the box office!! Yes, I am talking about Abhishek Bachchan..! He has been one surprise package. His bollywood carreer seems to be following the same trajectory as his father's career. AB too started off with a string of flops and struck gold with Zanjeer in 1973. AB Jr. did the same with Dhoom and since then there has been no looking back.
AB Jr. openly talked about everything from his new found stardom to being the Bachchan Jr. on an episode of a popular Asian TV show. He describes how Uday complimented him after watching Bunty aur Babli. Uday went all gungho about the movie, and told AB Baby - now you will be a big guy, dont go all starry and lose your head.
AB's witty response: "Dude, you forgot who I go home to every night!!!"

Toss ka Boss
After SA won the first encounter at Hyderabad.
Dravid said:"So it might have been a different story had we won the toss".
When India won the next match at Bangalore, as expected, Smith blamed the toss for the loss :).
Dravid's response "It was a good toss to win just as it was a good toss for Graeme to win in Hyderabad.Ultimately, it is about responding and performing. Winning the toss alone doesn't ensure success."
I wonder what Smith will have to say about the Bangalore ODI in his India Tour Diary

Rising to the challenge!
The first match against SA was a great revelation!! It's been a long long time since Team India made such a courageous comeback with none of the senior players being involved in it! Placed in a situation where the score showed 35/5 and pitted against the 2nd best team, Yuvraj and Irfan showed great character in taking India out of the troubled waters. It is encouraging to see the likes of Yuvraj, Irfan and Harbhajan to put up a display that makes us feel proud of them. The message they send out is clear - When in dumps or challenged with the impossible, do not chicken out; regather your strengths, refocus your mission and start over again.
